The proposals contained in the Imperial Communications Committee's Report have arrived at a most opportune time. The existing wireless station at d'Aguilar is already overloaded with work, the number of messages having increased from 2592 for the year 1918 to 10,804 for the six months (January to June) of this year and immediate relief is necessary,

The variety of traffic and number of messagen handled by d'Aguilar can be seen from the following analysis for three months of the current year:-

From the foregoing, it will be seen that the

messages may be grouped under three clausou, vis:-

Of the number show in Analysis, one third are for transmission and two thirds are received. The traffic is very small as the cable facilities from Shanghai and Singa- pore are good and cheap, thus only leaving requisitions for

pilot
